today we're taking care of two little ones - the bub, of course, and her little friend. they are two of the most good-natured babies in the world and are currently both napping. at the same time! woot! it wouldn't be so bad having twins if they were like these two. not that i'm trying to tempt fate. (note to fate: DO NOT bring me twins when we decide to have a second kid).

we're in the midst of many errands and "have-to-dos" for moving to australia. it's tiring and generally putrid, but the worst was yesterday. we tried to have a garage sale to sell some of the crap we can't take with us. electronics, mainly, since they don't work over there. hello, high voltage! so, it pisses rain like crazy. we put all the stuff out, price it, stand in the rain, put a tarp up, stand in the rain, look like idiots, stand in the rain, bring everything back inside. not a single person even walked by. it was the most pathetic garage sale in the history of the universe. we would have done better if we actually had the garage sale in our garage with the door closed and no signs up. it was an entirely crappy way to spend a morning. and after that, we ran out of diapers and had to stay with bub in the bathroom (where she peed on the towels, her sock, the floor and in the bath tub) until my friend drove over like superwoman with a pack of size 4's. she then took pity on us and had us over for ethiopian food for dinner. thank carl some people have their shit together!
